This book is one of the series of traditional crafts of Tainan commissioned by the Tainan City Government for design and production. "Shi-Liu in Jia-Dong" marquetry craft is one of the representative conventional crafts of Tainan, using two different types of wood inlay to create different levels of concave-convex depth. Master Chen Nanyang is one of the guardians of Tainan's traditional arts, specially dedicated to the craft of Shi-Liu in Jia-Dong for over fifty years. He excels in drawing sketches during the process and is renowned for his sketches in the field of woodworking.

The standard characters of "Shi-Liu in Jia-Dong" serve as the visual focus, echoing the delicate sensation of this craft. Through the framing, the essence of "Shi-Liu in Jia-Dong" is presented, with the front cover featuring Master Nanyang's sketches with embossed processing. The back cover utilizes the design language of geometric shapes representing Yin and Yang, metaphorically symbolizing the craft technique of concave-convex carving in "Shi-Liu in Jia-Dong".
